Thanksgiving Games

Thanksgiving Games

Blog
Ah, Thanksgiving, a time to gather with friends and loved ones. For us, we start the day watching the parade, then we have a feast somewhere in the middle, and top it off with a nap. But between the parade, the food, and the nap, there is a lot of time to fill, especially with our youngest family members. Which is why we play games to fill the down time. I am so excited to share some of our favorite games. The best part is that the prep work is easy, just print and play! Gratitude Garland for Thanksgiving

Gratitude Garland for Thanksgiving

It's November 1st and it's confession time. I really don't love Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I love Fall. I live for the cozy sweater weather and the crisp crunchy leaves. I enjoy wandering through a corn maze, taking in a hayride, or picking pumpkins. I especially love hot chocolate and warm apple cider. But Halloween? Meh. The creepy, the gore, and the begging strangers for treats. That- I could do without. Which is why I always look forward to November. It is the calm before Christmas, and a great time to sit back and take inventory of all your blessings. In fact, I think taking the time to first acknowledge and recognize your many blessings makes the Christmas season even sweeter. Which is why I'm so happy to share…

Fall-Themed Alphabet Sets

Fall-Themed Alphabet Sets

Blog, Uncategorized
It's Fall, and I fell in love with these printable Fall-themed alphabet Sets! When I sit down to design a new product, I try to create something that I would actually use in my own home. A lot of thought goes into what it will look like, and how it will function. It is an amazing feeling to see an idea shape and form into an actual finished product. I love what I do! These Fall-themed alphabet products started when I created  an apple-themed Back to School Apple Banner for teachers. A friend saw it and mentioned that it might also be nice to have an entire set of letters to choose from so that they could spell out whatever they wanted. She was right, of course they would! Summer Reading

Summer Reading

Blog
I have fond memories of my childhood Summers. My mom always encouraged us to be kids, so we played in our back yard, ran through the sprinklers, rode our bikes and had plenty of popsicles.  Sometimes, she would even sit in our sandbox and help us make castles, complete with a moat and twig drawbridge. But one of the best parts of every Summer was all the free time we had to read. I enjoyed many afternoons with my nose stuck in a book.  I chased down criminals with Nancy Drew, floated down the River with Anne, and hid from dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Indeed, my days were full. Sometimes, my older sister would challenge me to a book contest to see who could read the most pages in a…

5 Spring Break Staycation Ideas for Families

5 Spring Break Staycation Ideas for Families

Blog
Spring Break is nearly upon us and this year I'll be spending the entire week alone with six kids. SIX. How on earth am I going to keep them all occupied? How am I going to keep the fussing to a minimum? How will I survive? Granted, they are my own six kids, and they are pretty lovable (if I do say so myself). Even so, I still had a brief deer-in-the-headlights kind of moment when my husband informed me that he would be out of town for the entire week of Spring Break on business, which meant I would be flying solo for a few days. It's kind of a shame that he has to miss the whole week of their vacation, but I am determined to have a…
